Don’t get fooled by
the “Heat Reflective Paint” B/S
This is a classic example as to why it really doesn’t matter
what kind of paint is on top of your skillion patio single
skin roof.
As time goes by due to the minimal slope/fall of most
skillion style flat roofing applications, somewhere along
the line you will lose the shine & gloss on top!
Ask yourself what happens to the paint on a car (even a
Rolls Royce) if left outside in the elements, never waxed or
washed with detergent. I am sure you can agree that this
picture paints a thousand words.
I bet if Rolls Royce themselves had the technology of heat
reflective paint, well in reality; they sure as hell would
have started spraying it on their automobiles!
If you have concerns about heat transfer through single skin
roof’s then it may be time to upgrade to some Insulated
panel, built like a truck and as cool as an esky! |
